FAQs on Clarement POC for Civil Contractors

What does a Clarement POC actually involve?
You bring a real project, current or a past bid, a plan set for Contract Risk Identification, or bid tab data for Bid Intelligence, or a set of subcontractor quotes for Subcontractor Procurement, and we run it through the relevant engine live with your team. You see actual output on your own work, not a demo built on sample data.
How long does a POC take?
Most POCs run over a focused two-to-four-week window, starting with a live walkthrough on your own document, then a short evaluation period for your team to review the output against what they'd normally catch by hand.
Is there a cost to run a POC?
POCs are run as evaluation engagements, not paid pilots. We'll walk through specifics when you request access.
What information do we need to provide?
Whatever's already sitting on your desk for the engine you're testing: a project plan set and the applicable DOT standard specifications for Contract Risk Identification, or the bid item list and historical bid tab data for Bid Intelligence, or a set of scope packages and subcontractor quotes for Subcontractor Procurement. Nothing needs to be prepared or cleaned up first.
How is our data handled?
Your plan sets, bid data, and quotes are used only to run your POC and are not shared, used to train models for other customers, or retained beyond the evaluation period.
Can we run a POC on more than one solution at once?
Yes. Most civil contractors start with the one solving their most immediate pain, Contract Risk Identification, Bid Intelligence, or Subcontractor Procurement, and expand from there, since all three run on the same underlying data layer.
Do we need to sign a contract to start a POC?
No long-term commitment is required to evaluate the product. Terms for moving from POC to full use are discussed separately, once your team has seen results on your own work.
Who on our team should be involved?
For Contract Risk Identification, the lead estimator who'd normally review the contract. For Subcontractor Procurement, whoever owns scope package coordination and quote comparison. For Bid Intelligence, the estimator currently pulling and comparing bid tab data by hand. One person is enough to start.
What happens after we request access?
We'll reach out to schedule a short call, confirm which solution fits your immediate need, and set up the live walkthrough on your own document. Most teams see real output within their first session.
Is Clarement only for DOT contractors?
Right now, yes, civil contractors bidding on DOT projects is the primary focus, with expansion to additional jurisdictions at the county and city level planned.
